Swimming pool dog
Not all dogs like water and swimming pools. A lot of them get really confused and even agressive when their people dive in and disappear under water! If you want your four legged friend to have a s much fun at the pool as your two legged ones do, then these training tips may help a lot!
- As with all dog training: rewrd, reward, reward! Reward acceptable behavior and ignore the stuff your puppy does wrong. So give your pup some nice bits of his favorite food next to the pool.
One step at a time, get your puppy used to the swimmingpool, Reward. Next time, sit on the edge of the water and put your legs in: reward.
Then step in the swimmingpool, but stay near the dog. Maybe she will even jump in. Reward!
Just take it one step at a time and soon your dog will enjoy being around water and swimming as much as any seal!
